Cordulus

About Cordulus

Cordulus is an Aarhus-based weather data company building some of Europe’s most accurate hyper-local weather forecasts. By combining a large-scale network of proprietary weather stations with in-house AI models trained on real-time physical data, Cordulus solves a critical problem: traditional weather forecasts are often too imprecise to support decisions where timing, location and conditions matter.

Today, Cordulus’ largest market is agriculture, where accurate, field-level forecasts help farmers optimise planning, fertilization application, spraying and harvesting – saving time, reducing costs and limiting environmental impact. Beyond farming, the company already serves customers in areas such as road management, construction and fire prevention, and is now expanding into energy trading, where even small forecast deviations can move markets in real time.

Cordulus operates on a hardware-enabled SaaS model, combining upfront sales of weather stations with recurring software subscriptions. The company currently has customers in more than 22 countries and a growing base of professional users.

The team behind Cordulus has deep technical knowledge. Led by CEO and Co-founder John Smedegaard (MSc in Computer Science, Aarhus University), the company brings expertise across AI, software and hardware development. The team has demonstrated a rare ability to build and operate end-to-end physical data pipelines at scale – a key advantage as demand for real-world AI accelerates.
