Oktogrid

Oktogrid is a Danish deeptech company developing non-invasive monitoring technology and AI-powered asset management software for electrical transformers. The company’s solution helps utilities and industrial customers monitor transformer condition, detect faults earlier, optimise maintenance and make better decisions about critical electrical infrastructure. This addresses a growing infrastructure challenge as electrification increases the need for better insight, reliability and capacity utilisation across the electricity system.

Oktogrid’s solution is built around a patented magnetic-adhesion sensor that can be installed in under 15 minutes, combined with a software platform that turns transformer data into fault predictions, maintenance recommendations, capacity optimisation and remaining life estimates. The company is initially focused on power transformers, a critical but often overlooked part of the electricity system. Over time, Oktogrid aims to expand its platform with advanced fleet management capabilities and solutions for low-voltage distribution grids, increasing its potential market by approximately 80 million transformers globally.

Oktogrid is based in Copenhagen and was founded in 2019 by Golam Sadeghnia, who brings a background in electronics, data analytics and acoustics. Together with the Oktogrid team, he is building a company focused on making critical energy infrastructure more intelligent, resilient and sustainable. Today, Oktogrid has more than 45 customers, deployments across three continents and more than 5 million hours of transformer data in production.
